Description

Volcanic energy as controlled detonation. Steel that disciplines force and transforms it into a living object.
Boom was born from the moment before eruption. The instant when energy accumulates to its limit and structure holds what is about to break free. A carbon steel cone rises from the floor as the base. Solid, controlled, inevitable. Above it, a skeletal open frame suspends a terracotta-upholstered seat. The contrast between the dense cone below and the open structure above holds the tension the piece was built around.
Produced in a limited edition of 25 numbered and signed pieces. Each bears an engraved stainless steel plaque with its series number, completed by hand the moment the piece leaves the studio. A certificate of authenticity narrates the full history of the design, records the materials, and confirms the studio’s authorship. It is received only by those who acquire the piece.
Designed in Mexico City. Produced in collaboration with regional metalworkers.

Carbon steel with electrostatic powder coat finish. Available in bouclé or velvet upholstery.

About ASUL-STUDIO Visit Showroom →

ASUL-STUDIO creates statements through matter. Each piece is born from a story that becomes material form, a narrative that transforms wood, stone, and metal into tangible poetry. We work in limited editions, numbered and signed, as well as made-to-order line pieces, all conceived with the same rigor, authenticity, and character. Our pieces do not simply inhabit a space. They provoke it, elevate it, transform it into experience. Each object is a poetic act that invites you into dialogue, to make it part of your life.
