Description

With its understated, minimalist appearance, it is only when the bulb hidden at the heart of each volume is switched on that shades of colour appear. Through these horizontal patterns, Mélopée seeks to show the gestures of the craftsman and his expertise.

In 2024, Pirouette was invited to exhibit a porcelain creation in a Toulouse showcase during France Design Week, at the request of the association Céramique Plurielle Toulousaines, which brings together local ceramists. For the occasion, Pirouette collaborated with ceramist Some to create this collection of light fixtures.

The pendant lights are sold in sets of three, with the electrical system shown in the photo (wire and socket) and an E27 LED bulb (3.8W, 2700K, approximately 806lm). Sizes: Ø125 x 230mm, 125 x 300mm and 125 x 370mm.

Each piece is handmade and signed by the designer using a stamped aluminium plate, and comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity, part of a small edition made on command.

About Pirouette Visit Showroom →

Pirouette. is a design studio founded in 2019 by Alexis Jacquot. His practice explores the relationships between material, gesture and territory. Each piece is born from immersion in a workshop, from attention paid to the qualities of a material, as well as to the techniques and know-how that give it form. The creations (produced as unique pieces or in small series) reveal either a specific and characteristic property of the material used, or ancestral know-how or a unique shaping technique. Mainly made from waste or surplus production, these pieces promote a careful and responsible creative process. At the heart of this approach lies a profoundly human dimension: valuing craftsmanship, respecting existing resources and designing sustainable objects that are rooted in their manufacturing context. These works are available exclusively on Adorno, or to order.
