‘Objects of function_shining’ is a lighting object that harmoniously combines the essential use of ‘light’ for human life and the formality created by the intersection of vertical and horizontal structures.
Through the works, I express the crossing structures of verticality and horizontality with the resulting intersections of the object. This is secondarily demonstrated as a visual contrast between the ‘balance’ of the vertical structure with the ‘imbalanced’ horizontal cross-structure elements.
Light enters the space formed by the soft curves intersecting horizontally with the vertical surfaces from the overall shape.
Silver leaf was applied to the curved surfaces that reflect light, contrasting with the smooth texture of stainless steel and emphasizing the heat-tinting effects of welding to create a difference in coloration.
This lamp is designed for 220v standards and is not designed to be sat on.
