Wave Form Lamp ‘Piza,’ shown in a blue crystalline glaze, is a leaning Wave Form design, developed with digital precision and subject to the gravity and chemistry of the kiln. The piece is handcrafted in the maker’s Brooklyn studio.

Its unique form is a consequence of being digitally generated, together with the slow firing of the ceramics — a curled effect where gravity animates the digital shape. The glaze work has incredible depth of colour and texture, ranging from cobalt-blue crystal and growths through darker hues and brown moments, merging with a sandy-textured glaze at the base. The crystalline effects are unique to each piece, a result of its firing properties and hand application.

Inspired by technology, art and natural phenomena, Forma Rosa Studio creates limited edition functional pieces that seek to bring us closer to our natural roots.
