This ancestral Japanese technique is the incarnation of the Wabi-Sabi concept, which represents the beauty of imperfection, impermanence and incompleteness. While the random veining of the Raku brings with it a delicate and poetic note, the Raku top rests on a robust hammered bronze pedestal base that creates the visual sensation of a stand alone sculpture.
