Description

The Eindhoven Project is conceived entirely from discarded objects regionally collected in the city of Eindhoven. Comprehensive research and on-site foraging expeditions result in a collection of pieces directly influenced by the location and regional waste streams; a process termed, place-based design.

EP01 is the first piece in the collection designed from a discarded HVAC grate and an old closet organizer salvaged from a recycling centre in Eindhoven. EP01 made its debut at Dutch Design Week, 2022 and received a 2023 Wallpaper* Magazine Design Award.

This piece is made entirely from salvaged materials foraged for in the city of Eindhoven, Netherlands and a spray finish has been applied.

About Lauren Goodman Visit Showroom →

Lauren Goodman is an artist and educator who’s work embraces responsive approaches to the local environment and the communities that steward and neglect it. Developing pieces from foraged materials and discarded objects, she seeks a less extractive approach to art and design. Her minimalist, delicate design sensibility subtly draws attention to alternative material resources, whilst infusing poetry into the upcycling dialogue. Goodman is committed to educating designers on the possibilities of a practice driven by waste reduction and strives to find  balance between user, product and environment.  Goodman holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and was featured in Wallpaper* Magazine’s 2021 next generation issue. She has received two Wallpaper* design awards for the Providence Project and the Eindhoven project respectively and The Providence Project received a 2022 Azure Magazine Design Award. Goodman has showcased her work with Wanted Design Manhattan, DesignTO, NYCxDesign and has featured at Milan Design Week and Dutch Design Week.
