    Description

    Cornice Supreme – PU Re-edition takes its starting point from an unlikely source: the standard polyurethane cornice, the moulded trim normally hidden where a wall meets a ceiling. Here, that shape becomes the raw material and departure point for a sculptural lamp, transforming a basic, accessible construction material into a one-off design piece.

    The lamp is part of an ongoing project — alongside the Bricomart Supreme vases — that treats already-manufactured objects as raw material for something new, questioning the shapes we take for granted and what happens to an object’s meaning once it’s separated from its original function.

    Teresa Fernández-Pello works in the space between art and design, developing both self-produced and commissioned work for other brands. Her work combines formal and material experimentation with investigative theory practices, and  connects references coming from disciplines such as History, Anthropology, Aesthetics or Literature. Holding a BA in Product Design from the ESD Madrid together with AA studies in Furniture Design and a varied background in Ceramics, her practice focuses in the field of object design, but also extends to interiorism, graphic design and curation.
