This stool explores the body through one of its smallest and most expressive elements: the finger.
Instead of conventional legs, the stool is supported by three enlarged finger-like forms, transforming a familiar functional object into something bodily and slightly uncanny. The fingers are no longer simply part of the hand; detached from the body, they become structural elements, carrying weight and giving the object its own physical presence.
The work plays with the boundary between the human body and the designed object. A gesture normally associated with touch, pointing, holding or communication is stripped of its original function and turned into architecture. What is usually soft, vulnerable and personal becomes something that supports, stabilises and carries. By enlarging and repositioning a familiar bodily form, the work invites us to reconsider the way we perceive the body: not only as something biological, but also as a source of structure, symbolism and imagination
