Description

Vessel lamps is one of the most craftmade products in Marco Calhau catalogue. Inspired by simple forms such as mycology, the columns of the Greco-Roman period and Korean roofs -giwa- in Korean, Marco Calhau has designed and projected the VESSEL LAMPS project in an artisan-sculptural way. The tulips are handthrown inhouse at our pottery workspace in terracotta and enameled at 980ºC. With the objetive of learning by working and creating slowly and according to the availability of materials, the pedestals of these lamps are made through naturally fallen logs, this means that no tree has been cut down to manufacture this lamps. Brass hardware is used tu hold the tulips to the pedestals.
