Description

The Elemental Patchwork is an exploration of balance and transformation, embodied through an intricate mixture of metals cast at extreme temperatures. Each metals, though unique in origin and composition, merges with others to form a seemingly chaotic yet intentional whole. This work is a tribute to the unpredictable nature of life, where disparate events, much like these metals, shape us in unexpected ways. In this series, I draw on the tension between control and surrender, I aim to capture the quiet faith required to trust in the process of becoming. Those pieces symbolizes the belief that all parts, no matter how contrasting or challenging, ultimately converge into a harmonious unity.

Each piece is made of aluminium, bronze, brass, copper, silver and steel. Casted and hand-sculpted unique piece.

About Sheyang Li Visit Showroom →

As a designer moving between object design and sculpture, Sheyang focuses on research and the development of his own production processes. He finds joy in the unexpected, guiding the material just enough to shape it according to his vision, while allowing room for unpredictability in the outcome. This approach lets the material's natural formation emerge within the object.
