Flecked – Rectangular Side Table is part of a wider collection of unique handmade tables.

“It looks a lot like Terrazzo, but when you look close, you start to see the different colours pop in an unusual way.” – Troels Flensted

Small amounts of pigment is mixed into mineral powder and water-based acrylic polymer and left to cure. The material is then broken into small colourful flecks which are mixed into a new batch of material and poured into moulds.

Every table is then sanded back to reveal the beautiful colours.

The surface is sealed to withstand everyday life and Handmade in Copenhagen.

Troels Flensted Studio is a Danish design studio founded with the desire to challenge materials and production processes. By exploring characteristics and expressions of materials we create products which tell new and meaningful stories. We’re fascinated by materials, colours and how things are made, and finds inspiration in the aesthetic and undiscovered possibilities deriving from combining the three. Our projects start with experimentation and intensive research and often results in limited edition and one-off gallery pieces. Some projects are further explored in order to achieve accessible design pieces and a more rational production process. This approach has led to several awards, grants and participation in numerous prestigious exhibitions. Our objects are available in selected galleries and interior design stores globally. The studio was founded by Troels Flensted (born 1987) who graduated from Central Saint Martins in London in 2014. In January 2015, he moved back to Denmark to open his experimental studio in an old harbour district in Copenhagen.
