Timeline Candle Vessel reflects time as a gradual, almost imperceptible process. Wax is treated not as a fixed material but as a slow-moving medium that continues to shift and respond long after its initial form is set.
After casting, a single line of pigment is applied to the wax with the intention that it will evolve rather than remain static. Over time, the line diffuses slowly through the material, expanding and softening at its own pace. What begins as a point becomes a trace — a subtle record of duration formed through time and material movement.
Each vessel represents a moment within a longer timeline shaped by light, heat, and material resistance. Slight variations in diffusion, surface texture, and line definition are inherent to the process, making every piece unique. Designed to function both as a candle and as a lasting object, the vessel remains as a quiet record of time after the candle has burned away.
Each candle is accompanied by a Polaroid taken shortly after the line is applied, documenting an early moment in its timeline.
