Description

The Timber Side Table is made from 6×6 sections of Eastern White Pine reclaimed from architectural timber framing offcuts. The wood arrives green and is carefully shaped and assembled into this robust table. The piece is ebonized achieving a blackened finish and coated with oil and wax. At once raw and elegant, the Timber Side Table celebrates the natural beauty of the log.

About Lauren Goodman Visit Showroom →

Lauren Goodman is the founder and lead designer of Studio Lauren Goodman, a sculptural furniture studio using discarded objects and renewable materials to create dynamic collectable design. Lauren’s process begins by sourcing materials from regional waste streams and local suppliers in the region surrounding Montreal. Through creative investigation into waste as a raw material and combining foraged objects with traditional materials and fabrication methods, she seeks to elevate discarded objects, transforming them into unique one of a kind works. Lauren’s work is more than traditional upcycling. She is actively working to add beautiful and functional solutions to the ongoing challenge of local waste. Goodman's work has received many awards including a Wallpaper Magazine Design Award for best Construction (2023) and an AZ Design Award (2022), DesignTO Festival Juror’s Choice Award (2022) and Wallpaper Magazine’s Design Award for Material Innovation (2022). Her work has also been exhibited at design shows including Wanted Design Manhattan, NYCxDesign, Saloni, Milan Design Week as well as with galleries in both Canada and the UK
