Description

Knock-off-Neon by Ebba Lindgren pairs an LED tube with a dressing of ruched butter-yellow silk, set on a sleek aluminium base with what the designer calls a secret heart. It mimics the colourful light of a neon sign, but trades neon’s hard edge for a softer glow and a softer touch.The contrast is deliberate: industrial aluminium profiles sit against ruched silk, and when the lamp is switched off, the silk’s folds create real depth, with the shade’s sheen adding further structure. Switched on, it gives off a warm yellow glow rather than neon’s usual starkness.The light switch sits at the bottom of the LED tube, under the fabric, close to the cord. The LED tube itself is CE marked. The light runs a little warm to the touch, though it shouldn’t be used if it gets very hot.
