Gbl – 02 Table Lamp in Glass Block and Stainless Steel

The GBL-02 comes from julius.works, a Berlin studio working at the intersection of industrial materials and precise, reduced form. Here that means an industrial glass block — its internal linear pattern doing the work of a diffuser — resting on a stainless steel base that’s laser cut and brushed by hand. The two materials set the piece’s character: geometric, reduced, and exact.

The embedded light source sits low in the base and emits a warm, amber glow, which the mass and texture of the glass block then modulates — softening and scattering it through the vertical grooves rather than letting it read as a single point of light.

Each GBL-02 is made only on demand, assembled and finished by hand in Berlin, so production and dispatch can take several days depending on current demand.
