Description

Drawing inspiration from nature’s graceful curves, the CONCHA pendant lamp collection by MESEME Studio embodies a tranquil haven. This contemporary yet poetic collection combines visual delicacy with physical robustness. Flecked paper is combined with warm brass details and hand-blown opal ellipsoid glass shades — the pearl-like opal shades add a touch of ethereal beauty and softly diffuse the light, with the level of diffusion varying according to the angular direction of the shades and their translucency.

The collection is handcrafted and assembled in the studio’s London workshop, and is available in three distinct angular models, two sizes and five colour-ways. Paper is sourced from paper pioneers G.F Smith, using a combination of sustainably sourced textured and colour-plan papers, elevating paper as a hero material.

  • Vanilla, ochre, brick red and chestnut brown are made from paper sourced from the Gmund mill, using elemental chlorine-free pulp and spent brewer’s grain. The paper displays a gentle flecking of brewer’s grain, creating a unique surface with a hint of texture. Available only in this fixed palette.
  • Royal blue comes from G.F Smith’s sustainably produced colour-plan range, which offers a further 55 colours.
  • Lamping: 2 × G9 LED bulb — 4W, 2700K, 420lm, CRI 90+, dimmable (supplied for UK and EU orders)
  • Power source: hardwired
