Aldo Montes de Oca (b. 1999) is an Argentine industrial designer based in Patagonia. His practice explores the relationship between materiality, process, and storytelling through furniture, lighting, and collectible objects.

Growing up surrounded by craftsmanship, he developed an early appreciation for making by hand, an influence that continues to shape his approach to design. His work combines contemporary production with artisanal sensitivity, creating objects that reveal their construction and celebrate the expressive qualities of materials.

Aldo graduated in Industrial Design from the National University of Córdoba. Throughout his career, he has received several design awards, including the Sello de Buen Diseño Argentino for his Eclipse lamp, and his work has been exhibited in national and international design events.

His latest collection, Estratos, investigates the geological layers of the Patagonian landscape as a metaphor for memory, time, and identity. By exposing the edges of laminated plywood, the collection transforms its internal structure into its visual language, inviting viewers to reflect on the traces that shape both landscapes and people.

Presented at SaloneSatellite 2026 during Milan Design Week, Estratos marks a new chapter in Aldo's practice, reinforcing his commitment to creating meaningful, enduring objects where material, craftsmanship, and narrative become inseparable.
