10th Floor Studio is the collective works of Jerome Tavé and Kyle Lawson. The two met in 2008 while studying at Savannah College of Art & Design. They combined their personal studio practices in early 2018, collaboration being an integral part of their processes. Long stints of material experimentations, and cross-species explorations have brought fungi-inspired narratives to the center of their work. In a time where climate action cannot be ignored, they use their studio practice to contribute to the shift away from anthropocentrism.

10th Floor Studio is creating works that challenge the underlying philosophy of our built environments, whose sterile characteristics alienate us from other species. Their pieces put forth a vision where brutalist, industrial logic is harmonized with warm organic chaos. The unexpected juxtaposition explores futures where humanity finds greater integration with other lifeforms, drawing attention to ecological and social issues, and inviting others into a realm of collaborative transformation. Our fates are intertwined.
