‘Les Veilleurs’ collection was born of this age-old relationship.
It explores light as a presence that inhabits a space: an organic vibration that reveals both the setting and the material itself.
In Alsace, light sculpts the landscape just as it illuminates it.
For centuries, vineyards have occupied the best-exposed slopes, oriented to capture every shift of the sun. Light moves with the seasons, guides the crops, and shapes the character of the wine.
The bottles holding that wine carry the memory of this encounter between earth and light.
‘Les Veilleurs’ crafted from reclaimed wine bottles and steel offcuts—extend this cycle: the light that once nurtured the vines and permeated the wine returns to inhabit the material. Transformed back into glass, the vessel becomes a luminous presence. As light passes through, it reveals the glass’s nuances and depths, while the steel amplifies its reflections.
Produced entirely in Alsace, the collection brings together local resources, artisanal craftsmanship, and the memory of the landscape. Each ‘Veilleur’ becomes a suspended fragment of the territory: a light inherited from a place and transmitted through the material.
