Velora is the name of a functional aluminum sculpture that explores the tension between lightness and solidity, between the domestic and the cosmic. Like an elegant ruin from a future that never arrived, the piece is anchored in the retrofuturistic nostalgia of the 1970s—evoking floating forms, ritual columns, and a materiality that veils the everyday with a renewed sense of reverence.
Thought as a free standing shelf. Produced in a metal workshop in Mexico City honoring local and industrial style craftmanship.
The piece can be disassembled, as the structure is directly screwed into the shelves.
