The name is a clear reference to the Ishtar Gate, the main entrance to the city of Babylon.
This lamp by Federico Fontanella is the first element of a concept collection featuring several objects inspired by architectural elements found within the most important city in history.
The metal structure is cut by a beam of light that recreates accent lighting under the vault and diffused lighting in the room.

About Federico Fontanella Studio Visit Showroom →

Federico Fontanella moved to Milan in 2012 to study first at the European Institute of Design and then to attend a master's degree in Lighting Design at the Milan Polytechnic. After several experiences among companies and design studios such as Driade, iGuzzini, Federico Peri Studio and Studio D'Alesio&Santoro, he decided to start his own design studio going into different areas of design, such as lighting design, collectible and furniture design.
