“Urut” is a candle holder designed with inspiration drawn from memories of churches visited while studying in Helsinki.
Named after the Finnish word for “organ,” this piece consists of a candle holder and a slender case designed to store it.
The gentle flicker of the flame reflected on the surface of the case, along with the smoke slowly rising through the elongated, pipe-like form, creates a sense of stillness and harmony within the space, offering a moment of deep calm and quiet contemplation.
The black curved element functions as a handle, allowing the candle holder to be removed from the long pipe holder and carried easily.
The pipe holder is made of steel with a brass-coated finish, while the black handle is steel treated with a blackened finish.
For wall installation, two angled holes—one at the top and one at the bottom—are made in the wall, onto which the piece is hung and secured.
The candle holder can be removed from the long pipe holder, allowing it to be carried and used portably.
