Description

Deep blueberry hues meet the ancient art of fire.
This piece is a departure from my usual materials—a ceramic vessel crafted in the traditional Raku technique. Fired in sawdust in collaboration with the masters at @karaktiles in Bludenz, the process creates a finish that is as unique as a fingerprint. The deep glaze and scorched textures tell a story of transformation and peace at the same time.

My pieces explore the raw materiality and organic processes of nature. Using nature-inspired materials and pigments and textural mediums, I create surfaces reminiscent of geological formations, erosion, and natural transformations. My work delves into themes of time, permanence and impermanence, inviting viewers to engage with the tactile aesthetics and subtle shifts within each piece.
