The Eye of Industrial Love is a unique hand-built ceramic sculpture from Stella Arion’s black stoneware series exploring pressure, distortion and material transformation.
The work is conceived as an autonomous sculptural object rather than a functional vessel. Its low, horizontal form combines soft deformation with architectural edges, creating a piece that feels both grounded and dynamic. The open, rising section gives the sculpture a strong sense of interior space and visual movement, while the compressed base anchors it as a physical object.
Built by hand using coiling, The Eye of Industrial Love carries subtle traces of touch, pressure and material adjustment. The sculpture is made from black stoneware and finished with industrial glazes developed through extensive testing. Its surface moves between deep black, metallic reflection and shadow, giving the work a rich and layered material presence.
