The Taes collection draws inspiration from the majestic sloping-sided architectural platforms, historically used for religious, ceremonial and defensive purposes. In stacked form, the platforms raise monuments such as pyramids and temples. Single platforms were used as foundations of buildings and defensive structures. The Taes candle holder is a contemporary interpretation of the graphic and functional elements of these sloping-sided platforms.
The candle holder is designed by Aad Bos and crafted in the Netherlands out of solid European oak or American walnut. The handmade metal candle holder unit is available in solid aged brass or brushed stainless steel. The candle holder is made to order with a production time of 7-8 weeks and customizable in design, size, material and color.
