Description

Still Life 01 distills the familiar scene of bread and butter into a sculptural pause. Cast in Jesmonite with wax elements, the forms are reduced to a quiet monochrome composition that transforms an everyday gesture into a calm still life.
The piece consists of a tray and two butter-shaped candles that introduce a small ritual when lit, marking a brief moment held in time. Through simple forms and restrained material expression, Still Life 01 reflects Epoche Studio’s interest in everyday objects as carriers of memory and quiet meaning.
Each piece is hand-cast, resulting in subtle variations in surface texture and tone that make every example unique.

Hand-cast Jesmonite tray with two soy wax candles. Approximate burn time: 45–60 minutes per candle. Burn under supervision on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
