The Magic of Spegla
Spegla redefines what a candle holder can be. Built with a half-transparent mirror glass, the object transforms depending on whether the candle behind it is lit.
• When unlit: Spegla acts as a sleek and functional mirror.
• When lit: The mirror effect partially dissolves, revealing the flame and creating a mesmerizing floating appearance.
The Mirror is framed by a matte-edge that softens and refracts the light, creating a gentle halo effect. The interplay between light and mirror also generates dramatic back and side lighting, adding a warm, atmospheric glow to any room.

“I noticed that most candle holders don’t interact with the light of the candle. I wanted to create something transformative—something that changes the way light behaves. Through the careful shaping of the product, material choices, and surface treatments, Spegla delivers a subtle yet poetic expression of light. Its dual nature sparks curiosity about the materials and their unique properties, inviting users to explore the beauty of light in a completely new way,” says Jochen.
