In ancient Greece, a pelike was a vessel used to hold water or wine, often decorated with motifs depicting myths, stories, and everyday scenes—images that brought narratives to life across its surface.
Today, digital tools allow us to create a different kind of ornamentation, one that reflects the logic of the digital environment we inhabit and the processes through which objects are made. Algorithms and scripts become a language, shaping form through code.
The resulting surfaces unfold with intricate precision, where large amounts of data are translated into complex patterns. Like contemporary narratives, they emerge layer by layer – embedded within the object, waiting to be read.
These vases are crafted from deep black, unglazed stoneware, allowing the patterns to be perceived with greater clarity and depth. The matte exterior enhances the contrast and legibility of the ornamentation, emphasizing its tactile and visual complexity. Glazed on the interior, each vessel is fully watertight and functional, capable of holding water and supporting fresh flowers.
The collection is available in three sizes – S, M, and XL – with multiple variations for each size. Upon request, custom versions can be developed, allowing for variations in form, pattern, and ceramic color.
