Ossis is a wall mirror with a sculptural form defined by an irregular outline of soft, flowing curves. Its frame, covered in natural goat parchment, evokes the shape of bone, as if its silhouette had been shaped by a gradual process of growth. This reference is expressed through the geometry of the object itself rather than through applied ornament.
Covering such a complex surface with parchment requires precise craftsmanship and a multi-stage process. The material must follow the frame’s changing contours, preserving the continuity of the form while emphasising its sculptural character. The natural texture of the parchment introduces subtle variations across the surface, contrasting with the smooth mirror glass.
Ossis combines everyday function with a sculptural approach to form. Its silhouette, free of sharp angles, lends the object a soft, almost corporeal character, placing it at the boundary between a functional mirror and an autonomous sculptural form.
