Op Object No. 1 is a floor lamp by Pani Jurek STUDIO — one of a set of slightly crazy objects created to celebrate the extraordinary phenomenon of color, its power to transform and delight. The studio wanted, literally and metaphorically, to shed light on the material beauty of ceramics, a medium that has come to define their creative lives.
Color and light are inseparably linked. Light generates colors by changing their mutual relationships — it can be said that color does not exist without light. The OP objects explore the world of optical phenomena based on the interplay of light, color and form. Colors influence our mood even if we are not aware of it, and these multicolored objects examine not only the physical properties of colors but also their impact on the psychological sphere.
The lamp consists of two elements: a ceramic disc 60 cm in diameter, and a standing lamp which lights the disc.
