Our accessory collection reinterprets the aesthetic sensibility of the Hittite civilization through a contemporary lens. Inspired by religious, mythological, and natural elements of the era, the designs embrace strong symbolism and intricate craftsmanship.
Geometric forms such as circles, spirals, and triangles; once seen as representations of cosmic order and the universe; are central to the collection. In Hittite culture, accessories were bold and monumental, serving not only as adornment but as symbols of status, power, and spiritual belief.
Metalwork was highly refined, with embossing and engraving techniques that are now nearly forgotten in Anatolia. Drawing from this heritage, we sought to create pieces that bridge past and present, capturing the essence of Hittite artistry in a contemporary form.
The hieroglyphs featured on the Book Holder were developed in collaboration with archaeologists and are grounded in historical research. According to our interpretation, they symbolize wishes of luck, abundance, and protection for their owner.
