Its refined, understated perimeter is meant to evoke the way land and liquid meet at a lake’s edge — organic contours balanced against a minimalist, restrained structure.

    The piece is conceived as part of a dialogue between civilisation and nature: a luminous, reflective object that brings a sense of calm and quiet sophistication to a room, extending the same natural reference across every piece in the series.

This versatility has enabled him to transcend formal and object-based limitations, producing pieces that blend functionality, aesthetics, and profound conceptual depth. Sebastián Beltrán is a visual artist and designer, as well as the founder and creative director of Natural Urbano, a Mexican brand specializing in the design and manufacturing of contemporary lighting and furniture. Together with his wife, Lorena Márquez, a graphic designer, he has brought to life a brand that seamlessly combines creativity, functionality and a deep connection between art and design. His studio is located in the city of León, Guanajuato, Mexico.
