This collection emerged from the influence of the geography ZOYA has been shaped in and the profound cultural elements that their country contains saved in their visual memory.

The “Arch of Sinan” series was designed with inspiration from architect Sinan (1490-1588) and his work. It makes ZOYA happy to commemorate Sinan, a great architect, with the series of objects dedicated to him.

An “arch” symbolises solidarity and acting together. An arch transfers loads of the building to the foundation through the columns and vertical elements. It evokes ideas of durability, sharing, and the concept of supporting the main structure (or function).

For those who wish to deepen their understanding of architectural culture beyond what is seen and those who desire to have meaning behind their aesthetic decisions, ZOYA Istanbul presents us with products that refine and symbolise the ways of the universe, balance and harmony. Oz states, “My decision making process as I was choosing a time period and a visual representation for my  collection was not formed by a longing for the past but was rather reinforced by my desire to carry on the wisdom of then to the now, and translate it to the future.
