The diverse iterations of Arc Annex explore the unresolved circle as boundary, and a site of encounter. Emphasis is given on the continuity, rupture and reconfiguration of limits, or breaking of boundaries. Along the curve, a slotted solid disc acts as a side-table, and a vertical attachment, interpreted as a vase or candleholder, can be aligned magnetically.
Through pure forms and minimal interventions, the design series engages critically with the concept of an end, of a function or a use. Identity, like function, is understood as provisional. Meaning arises from relation and the tension between balance and fragility. Each design exists within a system of reconfigurable parts, capable of extension and inversion, forming new alignments. Magnetically linked, the modules engage through attraction, resisting permanence.
The vertical attachment (Ø 3 cm × H 35 cm) is fitted with a magnetic sphere at its base. A corresponding sphere on the opposite side of the arc secures it while allowing it to slide along it.
