Each piece in the Abyss series is a deeply personal expression, an artistic attempt to convey the profound emotions Ceren experiences when standing on the edge of a canyon, perched on a rock, or enveloped in the wet darkness of a cave. These moments evoke a powerful duality—big yet small, safe yet vulnerable, silent yet deafening—that she channels into her work.
Through organic, almost coincidental structures, Ceren seeks to visualize hidden narratives within these natural wonders. Unlike her other collections, the forms in Abyss are intentionally abstract and undefined, challenging the viewer to interpret their meaning.
