Description

Over the last few years, I have been deep in exploration to create an ideal dining set, the pursuit being a direct response to finding myself underwhelmed by the options for dinnerware available at that time. This collection has been refined in size, shape, and quantity to present a timeless design solution, offering a well-balanced dining foundation for any household.

The set includes a Dinner Plate, Breakfast Plate, Dessert Plate, Pasta Bowl, and Soup Bowl. Each built from the same hand-formed master molds so the collection can be added to infinitely over time. The process preserves slight irregularities and intricacies, allowing every piece to carry the feel of being hand-shaped while maintaining a consistent silhouette and scale.

Constructed in speckled stoneware and finished in gloss and matte white glazes, the surfaces bring a quiet wabi-sabi character that defines the collection as a whole.

Food-safe and dishwasher-safe. Hand washing is recommended to preserve the finish over time.

FLCS is run out of a studio in Brooklyn, NY by ceramic artist Alicia Miranda. Growing up in coastal California and spending the last decade in New York has given a distinctive blend of minimalism and imperfection to her work. Exploring the theme of modularity has led Alicia to create thoughtfully crafted, small batches of plating, inviting clients to curate their own collection gradually. Since 2022, Alicia has started to expand her practice into lighting, seamlessly integrating modern LED lighting into her organic forms. The development of her work has gone on to include many different objects for the home, which she invites customers to discover their unique ways of integrating art into their living spaces.
