Genos is a multidisciplinary collective based in Milan, working at the intersection of collectible design, fashion, contemporary art, architecture, and visual culture. Rather than being defined by a singular aesthetic, our practice is driven by research, perception, and the creation of meaning through objects.The collective is structured around the philosophical concept of Monadology, introduced by Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. Within this framework, each member exists as an autonomous monad - identified by its own number, color, field of expertise, and unique way of perceiving the world. Some monads emerge from fashion, others from graphic design, interiors, architecture, psychology, mathematics, or industrial design. Each develops independently while simultaneously contributing to a larger interconnected system.Genos does not operate as a traditional studio with a single authorship or unified visual language. Instead, we embrace fragmentation as a more truthful reflection of contemporary reality. Our structure allows radically different disciplines and perspectives to coexist, collide, and generate new ways of thinking through objects.Every object created within Genos is conceived as a carrier of ideas rather than simply a functional artifact. Objects become mediums that address social structures, psychological states, and patterns of human behavior - materializing questions of identity, conformity, memory, fear, desire, and the cultural systems that shape everyday life.Our methodology combines analytical inquiry with emotional intuition, drawing from psychology, perception theory, mathematics, and philosophy while remaining deeply connected to contemporary culture through fashion, cinema, music, architecture, and contemporary art. We are interested in how reality is constructed, how memory reshapes perception, and how objects can reveal the invisible systems that govern our daily experience.Each project represents an autonomous fragment within a broader ecosystem of ideas. We deliberately reject formal continuity between collections or objects. Rather than evolving through stylistic repetition, every work exists as its own independent reality, defined by the concept it seeks to communicate.All Genos objects are conceived and produced in Italy in close collaboration with highly specialized artisans and manufacturers. Our practice is rooted in material research, experimental making, and meticulous craftsmanship. Every piece undergoes an extensive development process where experimentation, precision, and attention to detail are inseparable from the final result. We intentionally avoid industrial production methods, maintaining rigorous quality control throughout every stage of fabrication.Genos is not built around a single author, but around the dialogue between multiple monads, multiple perspectives, and multiple interpretations of the present moment.
