Description

This poignant sculpture by CERAMIC 47, titled From Fragility to Stability – Sculpture_05, captures the intimate balance between vulnerability and resilience, portraying them not as adversaries but as inseparable forces in the human experience. Picture two figures in motion: one, delicate and translucent like glass, embodies fragility; the other, steadfast and grounded like stone, symbolizes strength. They lean into one another, each precariously balanced, unable to stand alone yet finding stability in their shared connection.

The sculpture mirrors the cyclical rhythms of life. In moments of strength, we carry those in need, and in times of fragility, we find solace in the support of others. This exchange underscores the truth that strength and vulnerability are not dichotomies but complementary forces, endlessly shifting roles to sustain and uplift.

Who holds whom? The answer lies in their interdependence. Both figures rely on one another to remain upright, endure, and create the equilibrium that defines harmony. From Fragility to Stability – Sculpture_05 invites viewers to reflect on the interconnectedness that shapes our lives, celebrating the quiet beauty of mutual support.

"Working with clay feels like a conversation with nature itself. Every piece I design starts with an idea but evolves as I pour my emotions into it. Through ceramics, I find a way to express what words can’t, letting my hands shape the stories within me. It’s a deeply personal connection—a harmony of earth, creativity, and soul."Faye Papargyropoulou, born in Athens on February 21, 1974, is a ceramic artist and designer based in Athens. Since 1992, when she began her studies in art & design with a scholarship in industrial design, she has been exploring the connection between creativity, functionality, and artistic expression. With over 20 years of experience as a creative director at leading advertising agencies, she was responsible for the image and communication of major Greek and international brands, defining their branding and creative strategy. At the same time, she applied her artistic ideas to personal projects in fashion and interior design. In 2006, she founded her own creative agency, ABOUT: CREATIVE AGENCY, specializing in design, branding, and projects related to fashion and interior design. In 2020, she took the next step in her creative journey by establishing her ceramic studio, CERAMIC 47. Based in Athens, CERAMIC 47 is her personal space for artistic expression, where Faye creates unique ceramic works that highlight the beauty of imperfection and challenge traditional notions of form and functionality. Her first complete collection, Migrated Forms, expresses her love for fashion, drawing inspiration from fashion patterns. The ceramic works from this collection, unique and multidimensional, were first presented in Athens in February 2022. She later participated in several group exhibitions, including "L'ÉTÉ GREC." and “WOMEN CERAMIC ARTISTS OF GREECE” at the Moncoinstudio gallery. Today, Faye continues to evolve her ceramic art, focusing on creating unique pieces that explore the relationship between form, functionality, and expression. Through her work, she combines the past with the present, reflecting a deep appreciation for art, nature, and contemporary design.
