The Prisma Table Lamp is part of DONÓ‘s MASSIVA collection, which explores the relationship between geometry, matter and light. Its precise, slender structure supports the density of the dome-shaped ornament above.
Conical feet touch the ground with minimal contact, while four polished stainless-steel tubes connect the feet, plates and top caps, axially compressed into one continuous, rigid structure. The dome itself is formed from folded aluminium and cast-aluminium appliqués, hand-moulded and cast in green sand — a process that leaves each piece with its own irregularities, variations and marks. Square openings in the cast plates are filled with amber castor-oil resin; in contact with the aluminium, each resin infill develops its own micro-bubbles, shrinkage marks and pitting.
Unlit, the resin stays opaque and dense; switched on, light passes through the translucent infills and casts a warm glow across the surface.
Made to order at DONÓ’s atelier, the lamp comes with a certificate of authenticity. Fitted for a Halopin LED lamp, max. 5W, G9 socket, with earthed wiring, an in-line switch on the flex, and a plug adapted to the destination market.
