Origo is the Latin word for origin. A starting point. A root. The piece begins with the simplest geometric gesture. Two intersecting planes of solid oak that anchor themselves to the floor with an honesty that stands without ornament. The form is immediate, almost primal, yet the execution is precise. The joints are clean. The proportions are deliberate. The wood is allowed to speak without interruption.
Origo functions equally as a side table or a stool. A surface that holds whatever is placed on it with the same quiet authority it holds itself.
Produced to order in Mexico City in collaboration with regional woodworkers using solid Mexican oak. Each piece is part of an open series produced with the same rigor, authenticity, and character as the limited editions.
