A creation of captivating complexity, the Bubble-Light by Balzer Balzer is a testament to both art and narrative. With its glass seeming to resist the confines of a stainless steel cage, the design speaks to a delicate dance between freedom and containment, rendering a visually striking moment of tension.
Historically, the cage took its cue from industrial bunker lights, standing as a stalwart protector for the vulnerable glass it housed. However, as bunker lights transitioned into domestic realms, the cage’s role was rendered redundant, existing merely as an ornamental relic of the past.
Embracing this transformation, Balzer Balzer innovatively repurposes the decorative cage as an integral part of their crafting process. Through their meticulous handiwork, they unveil the metamorphic journey of the glass, narrating a tale of transformation.
With hues ranging across a spectrum, each Bubble-Light, especially this 5th edition in the enigmatic smoke-blue, is a testament to uniqueness. Crafted with precision in Berlin, each piece stands distinguished, bearing a unique number and the Balzer Balzer signature as marks of its unparalleled distinction.
