Description

From the fullface point of view, a contrast interplays between the flat, deep, and lacquered colour surface and the curved cut mirrors. As you turn around, however, the volume takes a form and the two isosceles-shaped facets seem to be suspended in the air.

The assembly of the three sheets make a three dimensional volume, reflecting or splitting up the scenery according to the point of view.

The back sheet is black, lacquered glass (Lacobel) and the two front sheets are the mirror. “Glace Pliée” is slightly detached from the wall because of the oak frame at the back, allowing it to hang on the wall.

About Studio BrichetZiegler Visit Showroom →

The design duo Studio BrichetZiegler, founded in 2010 by Caroline Ziegler and Pierre Brichet, built up through exchange and dialogue to make an open think tank, where poetry, materials, and forms express with freedom. Coloured, graphic and expressive, they design evocative objects, in which the material is highlighted as much as the uses. In 2015, they are among the first French designers to launch a self-made collection, called By Hands. A family of objects and small furniture, imagined, designed, and hand-made in their workshop, in limited edition. Objects with a precise and sensitive finish, with several materials mixed around manual and delicate techniques. Copper, wood, leather, concrete, paper or steel are designed in a generous and expressive way according to different techniques. Caroline and Pierre let the material express itself, they enhance it.
