Vessel of Light by Studio Dafi Reis Doron is a new object that would like to look differently at lampshade design and lighting, as a metaphor of spiritual energy.
The use of innovative LED technology allows to locate the light source on a tiny ball connected to the bottom of the handle. This new composite enables a new ceremony of use, the lighting effect is created once the glass vessel is hung on the metal handle and the rays of light fill its body.
Unlike regular lamps that are connected to the source of light, this new concept allows the vessel – lamp shade, to be easily disconnected and attached back to the light source.
The shape draws its inspiration from the Kabbalistic (Jewish mysticism) term: “A Vessel of Light” Light as a metaphor for energy and vessel as a metaphor for inner power. Vessel of light is an expression of the way we build our inner power To Draw any energy that we want. For example, if we want love we need to love ourselves first.
The new light composition is there to inspire us to look at light differently and remind us to build our own inner light vessel.
