This pendant light is powered and suspended by a Good Design Award winning groundbreaking system of near invisible slimline wires, eliminating visible cabling, creating an effect of mid-air buoyancy. To achieve this lighting’s remarkable diaphanous effect, artist Sarah Tracton has mastered an unique technique of pouring porcelain slip onto a plaster slab, then heightening its luminous properties by adding iridescent colours, which results in exquisite celestial translucency when internally lit. It’s lit surface reveals unique one-of-a-kind idiosyncrasies, embracing the intriguing variations inherent in the handcrafting process.

Light will be fitted to international standards. Must be installed by a certified electrician. Fitted with Made in Australia long-life LEDs.

She repairs the porcelain which has shattered in firing stages with Kintsugi gold leaf technique, combating wasting with circular economy. A dual existence as fine art and function design. Each lit surface reveals unique one-of-a-kind idiosyncrasies, embracing the intriguing variations inherent in the handcrafting process.
