The “Stutter” Light by Calen Knauf is milled from a solid block of aluminum via five Axis milling machines. The shape was intended to mimic having been cut from a larger object.
Tactility was premier in the creation of the “Stutter” Light. The “flashing” or support fin functions as a thick delicious tab to pinch and point the light in a direction. The teardrop cross-section of the main body is intended to entice hands and fingers to fondle curves and transitions.
