FAQ
How long does this urn take to decompose in the soil?
Through permanent contact with water or soil moisture, this urn loses its shape within a few days and becomes part of what it was was before – the natural inorganic component of soil
Are these urns waterproof?
Some pieces are protected from short-term moisture with a thin layer of carnauba wax and can withstand a brief rain shower, for example, but in general these urns must be protected from moisture if the surface and shape are to be fully preserved.
Is earth really sufficiently stable as a material for urns?
The finest components of loam are clays, which have binding power even when raw and unfired and which are additionally stabilised with fibres from wood, straw and, if necessary, a natural binder based on starch or cellulose.
Can I store the urn at home?
When dry, these urns can be stored permanently and indefinitely
