The vase ‘ Underneath Me ‘ by Federica Zama is inspired in its decoration by the Art Noveau ceramics on display at the Faenza Ceramics Museum MIC and in the shape of the female body.
At first glance, thanks to the jeweled stopper that completes it, it looks like an ampoule holder for essences. Then, a closer look reveals its resemblance to a woman’s body: sinuous, draped, and perfumed.
The robe does not envelop it completely; it leaves parts covered with tiny flowers uncovered. The tenderness evoked by the flowers in the decoration is combined with the courage and energy emanating from the cap’s pyrite.
It is my way of paying homage to my city’s new femininity and artistic tradition, reinterpreting it with the most innovative materials and techniques. In every home, there is at least one flower vase.
My “ Underneath Me “ is affordable, light, and eco-friendly, and thanks to its delicate decoration and femininity, it has the power to give grace and allure to any environment.
This vase is made of 3d print blue navy, matte PLA, and a Pyrite cap.
