    Description

    Drusch Design built the Umu around a single question of craft: how to bend a two-inch stainless steel tube into a precise U-shape, on its circular base, without a visible weld or bend line. The answer is hand-bending against a guide until the tube’s circumference is exact enough that the structure reads as one continuous, seamless piece — the fabrication technique the whole design depends on.

    Two removable, satin-finished glass globes sit on the frame as the light source, each 13 cm in diameter, and the lamp ships complete with two warm LED bulbs, a fabric-covered cord, and a Type A plug. If a different plug type is needed, Drusch Design will discuss accommodating the request directly.

    The lamp comes in stock cream-white, or made to order in black, dark grey, silver, flat white, white cream, gulf blue, amber yellow, embossed brown, nude beige, or chocolate brown, in either a matte or high-gloss finish — any custom colour from the palette is produced as a made-to-order piece.
