Description

The Podium is an autonomous sculptural object conceived as a display structure. Made of dark red lacquered wood, it is composed of carved surfaces and recessed volumes that operate as spatial niches.

The object functions as a stage without performance: a static element that frames, isolates, and presents. Its cavities suggest scenes, fragments, or moments, without prescribing use or narrative. It explores display, hierarchy, and the relationship between object, space, and viewing position.

Studio Haritini Gritzali (founded in 2025) is a design practice based in Athens, Greece. The practice focuses on collectible and object-based design, while moving fluidly across disciplines.Gritzali’s work explores design as a form of storytelling. Objects are conceived as carriers of gesture, where structure and emotion, tangibility and imagination, functionality and symbolism coexist. They are fragments of a poetic world composed of sculptural forms, complex balances, refined materials, high-end craftsmanship, and conceptual clarity.Haritini Gritzali holds a Diploma of Architectural Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2018) and a Master of Advanced Studies in Design for Luxury and Craftsmanship from École Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne (2023).Before establishing her own practice, she worked on high-end design projects in Greece, Sweden, and Switzerland, including collaborations with Hermès and De Bethune. Her work has been presented at Collectible Fair New York, Art Athina and Paris Design Week and has been featured in publications such as AD and Designboom.
