Description

Rappel is a corner and wall lamp for intimate and human spaces. Inspired by the most basic of physics problems, a classic shoemaker’s lampshade of opalized glass hangs from the ceiling, with two legs pressing against the wall by the weight of the lamp like a rappelling climber. This force-vector composition is geometric, economic and airy, and is shipped with a ceramic-finish bulb casting the perfect warm, even light for your reading-nook or library.

About Darka Visit Showroom →

Darka is a young Oslo-based design studio and manufacturer, focusing on lighting, furniture and homewear. It is an offshoot of the Scandinavian experimental design and installation art scene. The studio practice has its origins in playful experimentation with light, form and physics, and is steadily building a portfolio of fixtures with distinct profiles, honest and sensible materialities, anchored in light-hearted and classic industrial design inspired by the masters of manufacture and modernist sculptural art. Proud to be independent and free to design sans aesthetic compromise.
